DPIN TO NEW PARTNERS WEF 15TH JUNE,2018
New DIN Allotment started for LLP Registration (Limited Liability Partnership) The concept of DIN i.e Directors identification Number was introduced in the year 2006 as per which any person who intends to act as director shall first Apply for DIN. In March, 2018, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs surrendered to allot DIN or DPIN to new directors. Only the person who already has DIN or DPIN was able to act as Designated Partner in the Limited Liability Partnership. Initially it was kept on hold from January 2018 to 31st March, 2018. LLP Registration started.
Later on again a notification was published on MCA that the allotment of DIN will be kept on hold till the next notification issued by Ministry of Corporate Affairs which was very uncertain.
Finally on 12th June, 2018 the most awaited amendment ‘Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Third Amendment Rules, 2018’ came into force whereby now DIN can be allotted to new directors also.
In case of Private Limited Company, new DIN was allotted to persons via SPICE (Simplified Proforma for Incorporating Company Electronically)Form so issue was only for LLP’s (Limited Liability Partnership) whereby only a person who was already a director in any Company and having a DIN was only allowed to act as designated partner as the new allotment of DIN was ceased by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
After awaiting for almost 3 months now DIN will be allotted to a person desiring to act as Designated Partner in a Company.
Along with form DIR-3 Form DIR-6 is also proposed to be amended on 15th June, 2018.
The procedure will be same as it was initially before 31st March, 2018 only slight changes are made in the Forms.
