Procedure to cancel OSP DOT Registration

Company who deal in Call Center industry in India need to have OSP DOT Registration. From 2019 Department started issuing OSP license online. However there where company wish to apply for cancellation of  OSP DOT Registration they should inform to Department of Telecommunication. saral sanchar online portal was introduced by department to facilities companies in OSP DOT registration surrender. Procedure to cancel OSP registration is complete online. Validity of OSP DOT registration is 20 years.


Common Reasons to Surrender OSP DOT Registration

Other Service Provider Registration (OSP) is give by Department of Tele-commination of India. This registration is different for Domestic Calling & International calling.  The certificate issued is valid for 20 years. There can be various reason for cancellation of OSP DOT registration certificate.

  1. Company closure
  2. Company Business Operations changes
  3. Merger of company
  4. Sumoto cancellation
  5. Any other reason

Fees for Cancellation of OSP DOT Registration

No Fees for cancellation of OSP Registration need to be paid. Only at time of initial registration companies need to pay Rs.1000/- registration fees.


List of documents for Cancellation of OSP Registration

Cancellation of OSP registration license is simple and need to be done Online. Company’s who received OSP Registration prior to 15 November 2018 , first need to migrate OSP Registration. After migration they can apply for Cancellation.  

  1. Covering letter for cancellation & reason for cancellation
  2. Board Resolution
  3. Letter of Authority
  4. Any other documents as specified by department

Cancellation Certificate of NON STPI

After successful submission of above document to Department of telecommunication , department will share acknowledgment of proof of receipt of documents. After due verification of documents and fees paid department will send you a document for confirmation of cancellation of registration certificate. Once said document is received ,procedure for cancellation is completed.
